چکیده

Bile-duct cancers (BDC) are a group of solid tumors arising from the biliary tree. Despite their classification as rare cancers, incidence BDC is increasing worldwide. Poor prognosis common feature this type cancer and mainly determined by following factors: late diagnosis, lack effective therapeutic approaches, resistance to conventional treatments. In past few years, next-generation sequencing technologies has allowed us study genome, exome, transcriptome deeper, revealing previously underestimated class RNA: noncoding RNA (ncRNA). MicroRNAs (miRNAs) small ncRNAs that play an important regulatory role in gene expression. The aberrant expression miRNAs pivotal oncogenes or tumor suppressors carcinogenesis been widely described BDC. Due ability regulate multiple networks, involved all hallmarks, including sustaining proliferative signaling, evading growth suppressors, resisting cell death, enabling replicative immortality, inducing/accessing vasculature, activating invasion metastasis, reprogramming cellular metabolism, avoiding immune destruction. Their use diagnostic, prognostic, predictive biomarkers explored several human Furthermore, miRNA-based strategies currently subject numerous clinical trials providing evidence efficacy potent anticancer agents. review, we will provide detailed update affecting BDC, discussing function processes underlying molecular pathology Finally, overview potential tools be further addressed.

MicroRNAs in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma: implications for pathogenesis, diagnosis, prognosis and therapy.

Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most commonly-occurring type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma and is considered a curable disease in at least 50% of patients. Considering that the disease represents a heterogeneous group of tumors, recent efforts using gene expression profiling have identified two subgroups, with significantly different response rates to standard immunochemotherapy. Neverth...

MicroRNAs in testicular cancer: implications for pathogenesis, diagnosis, prognosis and therapy.

Testicular germ cell tumors (TGCTs) represent the most common type of solid tumors among men aged 15 to 40 years. An increasing incidence has been recorded in developed countries. In clinical practice, TGCTs are classified as seminomas and non-seminomatous tumors. Non-seminomatous tumors often contain multiple different cell types and can be further sub-divided according to the histological and...

MicroRNAs in renal cell carcinoma: implications for pathogenesis, diagnosis, prognosis and therapy.

Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is a potentially curable disease, especially if the tumor is limited to the kidneys and no systemic metastatic spread has occurred by the time of diagnosis. Despite the potential for successful surgical removal of the tumor-bearing organ in localized stages and the likelihood of treatment success, the complications and long-term morbidity and mortality of RCC are diff...

Nutrition Therapy in Sepsis: Characterization and Implications for Clinical Prognosis.

INTRODUCTION the inflammatory response caused by sepsis leads to metabolic changes, which may result in significant lean mass loss in septic patient. Because of this, when digestive tract is functional, nutritional therapy (NT) must be initiated within 48 hours of intensive treatment to reduce protein loss. OBJECTIVE to evaluate enteral nutritional therapy (ENT) in adult septic patients with ...
